ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner to join our growing behavioral health team. The PMHNP under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for:

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects
  • Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health challenges and promote resilience
  • Collaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole-person care
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-being
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

  • Documenting in a timely and thorough manner

SCHEDULE DETAILS:

  • Schedule Details: Monday – Friday full time
  • Hospitals covered: Apopka

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s Degree (PMHNP)

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION:

  • BLS & ACLS
  • DEA License
