Faculty Position: Hospital Based Psychiatry & Medical Student Education
- Consult Liaison - Psychiatrist will do inpatient consults M-F
- Total Health - organization embarking on a broad institutional initiative with an innovative model for wellness, resilience and compassionate care
- Collaborate with expert healthcare practitioners and support personnel from a variety of disciplines, backgrounds, and clinical perspectives
- Combine clinical care with teaching, scholarly activity & educational administration
- Teach medical students, residents & other trainees; clinical research; clinical service and program development
- Extremely BUSY Service
- 18-20 consults per day
- Numerous complex cases; patients awaiting involuntary placements
- Will round in Emergency Department with high volume mental health patient needs
- Majority of time will be spent on the CL/ED service with coverage of the inpatient psychiatry unit as needed
- Residency Program
- Supervise residents
- Residents will do inpatient work alongside physician
- Salary 280K + call pay
- Call
- All faculty cover inpatient and CL/ED services for 4 weekends (in person with residents) and 4 weeks via phone per year.
- Weekend call - 1:4
- Weekday call - 1:6 (take one week at a time)
- Resident who is on call with physician supporting

- Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience
- Team will be comprised of 3 psychiatrists and 1 Nurse Practitioner
- Full time position - Monday - Friday 8 - 4:30 (typical day)
