Seeking a Director of OB/GYN for an independent multi-specialty medical group.
- Must be licensed or eligible for MA license
- Must be board certified
- Advanced business degree such as MBA, MHA, MMM or MPH preferred
- Extensive experience as a practicing physician (7-10 yrs)
- 3 years of experience managing multiple medical practice sites
The Director will have Executive level responsibility for the overall direction of the specialty, including but not limited to physician recruitment, physician performance management and physician retention, as well as specialty level quality improvement, utilization management, patient safety, and patient risk management. S/he will be responsible for the execution of the organization strategy and goals at the organizational-wide specialty level. Provides leadership of clinical care in the designated specialty in order to achieve performance excellence in the goals of the Triple Aim: cost reduction, high quality, and sustained high patient satisfaction. Orchestrates professional development of department chiefs, and communicates effectively on organizational goals and strategies. Plays a critical role in practice model development and strategic planning within the specialty.
Ability to develop strong working relationships with both clinical and non-clinical staff. Experience with managed care, quality improvement, innovation of care delivery, and electronic medical record utilization are especially important. Experience with teaching programs and clinical research; budgeting and financial analysis are also strongly desired. A successful track record of program development, innovation, leadership, especially as an agent of change, superior interpersonal skills, and management are essential.
